  1. Select Effects from the drop-down menu.

 

  1. The TikTok app will display a live preview of your video along with a timeline. Drag the white marker to the location where you want the effect to begin.

Leave the white marker at the beginning if you want to apply an effect to the entire video.

 

  1. Under the timeline, available effects are represented by circle icons. Swipe left or right to scroll through the list. When you’ve found an effect you’d like to try, long-tap on its icon to activate it.

Typically, each video can only have one TikTok effect from the Sticker category. Other effects, however, can be used over these types of effects.
